Welcome to LSF Maschinen- und Anlagenbau!

Press release for early January 2012

LSF Maschinen- und Anlagenbau:
Albrecht Bolza-Schünemann succeeds Claus Knorr

After more than 53 years of service at LSF Maschinen- und Anlagenbau in Laussig (near Leipzig), managing director Claus Knorr entered well-earned retirement at the end of 2011.

Mr Knorr joined the firm in 1958 as a design engineer, was promoted to senior design engineer in 1963 and appointed director of research and technology in 1976. Following Germany’s reunification he was put in charge of the company by the public trustee and successfully oversaw its privatisation.

Claus Knorr drove technological advances at LSF with tireless dedication, gaining the sincere respect of customers at home and abroad, and laying the foundations for LSF’s successful transition from a socialist to a market environment. Under his guidance LSF became a partner of choice for the film-manufacturing industry, decorative gravure printers and many special applications.

Claus Knorr has been an honorary member of the VDMA Ost steering committee since 1993.

Even in retirement he will remain active as a consultant to LSF and many longstanding customers in matters relating to process technology.

Following Mr Knorr’s retirement, LSF will be headed solely by Albrecht Bolza-Schünemann, who joined the company as managing partner at the beginning of last year.
